Dense Fog Alert
Week Starts with Dense Foggy Conditions

Thick layer of smog covers the northern parts

A dense fog layer is expected to blanket parts of North India over the next few days, impacting morning visibility and travel.

According to early forecasts, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan may experience moderate to dense fog during late night and early morning hours.

Visibility could drop below 200 metres in several pockets, leading to delays in road, rail and air travel.

Moisture build-up, calm winds and falling night temperatures are creating ideal conditions for fog formation.

Commuters are advised to drive slowly, use fog lamps and follow safety protocols. Authorities may issue additional advisories as the fog intensifies across the region.
