The Western Himalayas, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh, have stayed mostly dry for a week.

Cold northwesterly winds from snow-laden peaks are driving temperatures down across North and Central India, intensifying the winter chill.

Tourist destinations like Gulmarg, Manali, and Kufri now await new snowfall to revive winter tourism.

For now, the mountains remain calm, cold, and clear, a tranquil pause before the next spell of snow begins.
