As we set to commemorate the end of the British rule and the birth of independent India, let's look back at the very day which catalyzed the following years and made us what we are today!

The monsoon of 1947 was normal to above normal in United India. Rain started from the evening of 14th August 1947 in Delhi, however by late evening lacs of people gathered on the Raisina Hill. It was still drizzling.

By the time India has been proclaimed an independent state on the morning of August 15, the sky was clear and the sun shone just as brightly as the tears in the eyes of our fellow countrymen!

How is the weather going to be today on the 15th August 2022? Check now on our app for your home location!
