Bay of Bengal System to Revive Rains in Odisha, Andhra by Weekend

Rainfall alert for eastern India, with heavy showers over Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh.

A fresh low-pressure area is forming over the Bay of Bengal and is expected to revive monsoon activity by the end of this week.

Coastal Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh are likely to see moderate to heavy rainfall as the system intensifies.

Interior regions of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal may also receive scattered showers.

Weather experts suggest this system will push back the lull in rains seen over the past few days.

Farmers in eastern and central India can expect improved soil moisture conditions. However, heavy downpours in coastal belts could lead to waterlogging and travel disruptions.

Authorities are advising residents to stay alert for localised flooding risks.
