A new weather system is developing over the Bay of Bengal and could bring more rain to parts of eastern and southern parts.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation near the Gulf of Thailand is expected to move towards the Andaman Sea.

A low-pressure area may form around October 23 and could strengthen further in the following days.

Parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, coastal Andhra Pradesh and nearby regions may experience rain and thunderstorms.
