The Northeast Monsoon also remains inactive, raising rainfall deficiency across Tamil Nadu and Kerala sub-divisions.

Central India may see pocket-wise cold waves in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

Meanwhile, the northeast will face dense fog and continued rainfall shortfall.

With weather systems staying away from the mainland, minimal rainfall is expected across the country over the next week, keeping winter conditions firm and dry.
