Delhi Records Coolest April Day

Delhi witnessed an unusually cool day as Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 28.2°C, nearly 7°C below normal.

This marks the coolest April day since 2016. However, this relief will be short-lived, with temperatures set to rise gradually from today.

The mercury is expected to touch 32°C today and cross 35°C over the weekend. By early next week, temperatures may approach 36–38°C, in line with seasonal trends around Vaisakhi.

A western disturbance has moved away, and the next system will have limited impact on plains. Dry weather and sunshine will dominate, though stronger winds may ease heat stress slightly. Delhi may approach 40°C towards April-end.
