The temperature in Delhi has dropped for the last four days, but it is still above normal.

The winter cold is yet to be felt in full, and the temperature in November may gradually drop to 10°-11°C by the end of the month. The winter chill will come only when there is snowfall and rain in the northern mountains.

October this year has been the hottest month in the country's history, with Delhi recording an average maximum temperature of 35.1°C and minimum of 21.4°C.

Temperature in Delhi

There was no rain throughout the month, and now there is little chance of a sharp drop in temperature in Delhi. Dry northwesterly winds will continue to prevail in Delhi due to the anticyclone formed over Rajasthan.

A western disturbance around November 10 may bring light rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of the mountains, which may lead to a slight change in temperature. However, Delhi may have to wait till mid-November to feel the effects of winter chill.
