Gujarat is witnessing intense early-season heat, with temperatures rising sharply across the state.

Coastal cities including Surat, Bhavnagar, Mahuva, Veraval and Porbandar are recording hot and humid conditions with mercury crossing 36°C.

Interior regions are even hotter, with several places touching 38°C to 39°C. Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar have already breached 38°C in the first week of March, much earlier than usual.

Temperatures are likely to rise further over the next few days. Despite the heat, weather conditions will remain clear and dry with no threat of rain.

During the T-20 World Cup Final, skies will stay clear with light winds. Temperatures are expected to drop by about 5°C to 6°C after sunset, bringing some relief later in the evening.
