The Konkan region and Madhya Maharashtra are receiving widespread rain, while Marathwada and Vidarbha have seen scattered spells.

Commuters in Mumbai faced waterlogging and traffic snarls as downpours disrupted normal life. Pune also reported heavy showers, affecting daily activities.

Meteorologists suggest that the prolonged monsoon activity may extend crop benefits but also increase chances of urban flooding.

Residents are advised to stay updated with weather alerts, carry rain gear and plan travel carefully as rains are likely to continue in the coming days.
