India Records Above Normal Monsoon

The 2025 southwest monsoon season has delivered above-normal rainfall for India.

June, July, and August saw widespread showers, bringing relief to most regions. The country recorded rainfall higher than the long-period average, boosting agriculture and water storage levels.

Delhi and northern plains are also preparing for drier conditions in the coming weeks. Despite regional variations, the overall seasonal performance has been strong, ensuring healthy crop prospects.

Meteorologists note that India’s monsoon this year has been more active compared to recent seasons, with fewer prolonged dry spells.

The withdrawal process will gradually expand across northwest India in September.
