Heavy monsoon rains have triggered a landslide in the northern Indian Himalayan region of Jammu and Kashmir. At least 30 people were killed.

In addition, roads and bridges were severely damaged, and communication networks collapsed almost completely. Many rivers burst their banks after the heavy rainfall.

Last week, around 60 people died in the Indian part of Kashmir after heavy rainfall, and around 200 are still missing.
