Maharashtra Heatwave & Relief Ahead

Interior Maharashtra continues to reel under intense heat, with Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra recording temperatures above 40°C.

Several areas have crossed 42°C, while Akola has emerged as the hottest in the country, touching a scorching 44°C.

Relief is on the horizon as changing weather systems from April 18 onward will trigger thunderstorms across the state.

Rain, gusty winds, and lightning are likely between April 19 and 22, gradually reducing temperatures. Some parts may continue to see weather activity till April 24, bringing temporary respite from the ongoing heat.
