No Heat Relief Yet
Mumbai Will Have to Wait for Winter

Mumbai is witnessing unusually warm days and nights.Mumbai is witnessing unusually warm days and nights.

Mumbai continues to experience hot, humid days with high humidity levels, especially in the afternoons, making the weather uncomfortable.

Since the southwest monsoon withdrew, the city now sees a land breeze in the mornings, which shifts to a sea breeze by noon, increasing humidity and heat by midday.

Fortunately, the evening breeze offers some relief, especially along the coast, though it’s less noticeable inland.

Mumbai’s dry season runs from October to March, interrupted only by the occasional storm from the Arabian Sea. With day temperatures hovering around 33-34°C in October and November, residents can expect the nights to cool slightly, from around 24°C in October to 21°C in November.

North India’s warm weather is also affecting Mumbai, as the winter winds from Rajasthan haven’t yet reached the region.

This delay means Mumbai and the Konkan coast will continue to experience unusually warm, sultry days until North India’s winter chill begins.
