Rain & Thunder Likely West Bengal

West Bengal will vote for Phase 2 of Assembly elections on April 29, covering 142 seats including Kolkata. Unlike the first phase, weather conditions may not remain completely clear. Light rain and thunderstorms are likely in parts of Gangetic West Bengal during the day.

Moist winds from the Bay of Bengal are also increasing humidity. Morning hours may stay cloudy, helping reduce heat. However, thunderstorms are expected to develop in the afternoon and evening. Day temperatures will range between 30°C and 33°C. While extreme heat is unlikely, humid conditions may cause discomfort before rainfall brings relief.
