Rain and Thunderstorms Likely over NCR

Delhi-NCR has seen a steady rise in temperatures over the past three days, with Safdarjung recording a maximum of 36.2°C, about 4°C above normal.

Limited cloud cover and scanty rainfall have contributed to the increasing heat.

The maximum temperature is expected to stay above 35°C over the next two days. However, relief is likely in the form of evening and night thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.

Due to active western disturbances and cyclonic circulations nearby, rain and thundershowers are expected between March 30 and April 8.

A brief lull may occur around April 1–2, before activity intensifies again, with possible hailstorms between April 6–8.
