Rainfall Reduces in Tamil Nadu, Kerala

Small break is likely in monsoon this week.
Small break is likely in monsoon this week

After a few days of active monsoon, southern India is now experiencing a slowdown in weather activity, with reduced rainfall over the next three days.

The weather will remain limited to specific areas, mainly in parts of South Tamil Nadu and Kerala, with moderate rain continuing in places like Pamban, Karaikal, and Kodaikanal.

However, from November 22 to 24, the region is expected to see a break in the northeast monsoon, which could be followed by a sudden increase in activity later in the month.

Weather in Chennai

There are early signs of a tropical cyclone developing in the Bay of Bengal, which could bring heavy weather to Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the last week of November.

Currently, weather systems near the Maldives and Lakshadweep are keeping the monsoon active in some areas, but as these systems weaken, a break is expected. It is advisable for the southern states to prepare for possible severe weather in the coming days.
