June has started with stormy weather in Delhi and NCR.

On Sunday evening, a strong dust storm hit Palam Airport with wind speeds of 96 km/hr, causing power cuts, traffic jams, and uprooting trees.

Fourteen flights were diverted to cities like Chandigarh and Jaipur. Thunder, lightning, and sharp rain marked the evening.

More dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain are expected till June 4 in Delhi, especially on June 3. Day temperatures will stay around 36–37°C and may rise to 40°C after June 5.

In Rajasthan, a western disturbance will bring rain and strong winds (50–60 km/hr) from June 2 to 4. Light rain was seen in parts of Jaipur on Sunday, while other areas stayed dry.

Jaisalmer was the hottest at 41°C, followed by Churu and Barmer. Temperatures across the state will stay below 40°C - 45°C this week.
