South India Braces for Pre-Monsoon Rain

Peninsular region has seen a 29% increase in pre-monsoon rainfall from March 1 to April 1, while the rest of the country remains rain-deficient.

States like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka have received "large excess" rainfall, with Coastal Karnataka also recording "excess" rainfall.

Expect light to moderate rain with heavy showers in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

On April 3, Telangana and Karnataka will experience heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and strong winds. From April 5 onwards, rain will decrease gradually, but scattered showers will continue.
