Showers to Lash Karnataka, Maharashtra

A fresh spell of monsoon showers is set to drench Karnataka, Maharashtra, Konkan and Mumbai over the next few days.

According to forecasts, a cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea and an active monsoon trough are likely to bring widespread rain.

Coastal districts of Karnataka and Konkan-Goa could see intense spells, while Mumbai may experience heavy to very heavy showers at isolated places.

Interior Maharashtra, including Pune and Nashik, can also expect moderate to heavy rainfall. The downpour may cause waterlogging, traffic delays and disruption of daily life.
