Storm Fengal Early Next Week? Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Sri Lanka prepare for a cyclone

A tropical storm is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal early next week, with a cyclonic circulation already developing near the South Andaman Sea.

While storms in this region usually struggle due to weaker forces near the equator, this system is expected to strengthen into a low-pressure area within 48 hours and potentially grow into a depression or tropical storm by the end of the week.

Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala may face heavy rain and strong winds early next week if the storm develops further.

This would be the season’s second storm, named Fengal. While forecast models beyond five days remain uncertain, residents should stay alert and prepared.
