Unseasonal Rain Damage
Crop Losses in Maharashtra and Gujarat

Hailstorm India

In a distressing turn of events, several regions in Maharashtra, including Solapur, Hingoli, and parts of Vidarbha, grappled with heavy rains, spelling disaster for farmers.

Over 1 lakh hectares of farmland have been impacted, affecting crops like cotton, onion, grape, banana, sweet lime, orange, rice, jowar, wheat, and gram.

Simultaneously, Gujarat witnessed unseasonal rainfall and hailstones, with tragic reports of human casualties attributed to lightning strikes.

The agricultural landscape in Gujarat is under assessment for crop losses. As our hearts go out to the affected communities, we emphasize the need for support and resilience during these challenging times.
