Weather Update - Midnight Showers Cool Delhi

Delhi witnessed another spell of rain and thundershowers around midnight, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.

Temperatures dropped by 4°–5°C, with minimums staying below 20°C for the second day. Day temperatures also dipped sharply, with a maximum of 32.2°C—the lowest since April 9, 2026.

Winds remain light and variable, influenced by two nearby circulations over Haryana and Southeast Rajasthan.

A weak trough passing close to Delhi may trigger brief evening showers today and light rain tonight and tomorrow.

Weather activity may linger till the night of May 7. From May 8 to 10, conditions will turn dry, with rising heat. The weekend is expected to be hot and sultry, with temperatures nearing 39°C.
