Monsoon Bids Farewell to Delhi

The Southwest monsoon officially withdrew from Delhi on October 2, 2024, slightly later than the usual September 25 date.

Despite no rain in the last two weeks, the delay in withdrawal is normal.

Delhi recorded a hotter-than-average day yesterday, with Safdarjung hitting 37.2°C, 3°C above the usual.

While the monsoon season brought a whopping 1029.9mm of rain, far exceeding the average of 640.4mm, October typically sees only 15mm of rain.
