What Precautions To Take At Different Temperatures

As temperatures rise sharply across the country, health risks also increase. When temperatures cross 40°C, avoid direct sunlight during afternoon hours and drink plenty of water. At 42°C to 44°C, reduce outdoor activity, wear light cotton clothes and stay indoors as much as possible. Heat exhaustion and dehydration risks become very high at this stage.

When temperatures exceed 45°C, severe heatwave conditions may develop. Avoid stepping out between 12 PM and 4 PM unless absolutely necessary.

Elderly people, children and outdoor workers should take extra care.

At 47°C and above, the risk of heatstroke becomes extremely dangerous. Stay in cool or shaded places, avoid heavy physical activity and seek immediate medical help if symptoms like dizziness, nausea or fainting occur.
