Heavy rainfall is expected to continue across parts of southern India until 24 October, with Kerala, Lakshadweep and South Interior Karnataka likely to experience widespread showers.

Lakshadweep faces a risk of heavy to very heavy rainfall on 23 and 24 October, while Kerala may witness another round of intense showers on 24 October. Parts of Karnataka, including areas around Bengaluru, could also receive heavy rain.

Strong winds reaching 35–45 km/h, gusting up to 55 km/h, may affect coastal areas, making sea conditions rough.

Residents should remain cautious as heavy showers could lead to waterlogging, traffic disruptions and reduced visibility.

Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing into rough seas and follow official weather warnings.
