A well-marked low-pressure area has formed over the southwest Arabian Sea, marking the first post-monsoon weather system of the year in the region.

The system is located far from India's coastline, closer to Africa, and is expected to strengthen into a depression or even a deep depression.

Warm sea temperatures of 29–30°C and favourable atmospheric conditions may support further intensification.

However, the system is likely to move westward towards the African or Arabian coastline within the next 36 hours, where cooler waters could weaken its development.

There is currently no significant threat to India's coastline. However, the system will need close monitoring over the coming days as weather conditions can change.
