While many parts of Central Europe are experiencing relatively cool weather with temperatures around 20°C, an unusual warm spell has gripped Northern Europe.

A weather system drawing cool air from the North Atlantic into Central Europe is simultaneously pushing warm air from the eastern Mediterranean far northward.

As a result, Finland is witnessing early summer-like conditions. Temperatures are expected to reach 25°C or higher across parts of the country, including northern regions near the Arctic Circle.

In comparison, cities like London are likely to stay cooler at around 18°C.
