Bengaluru Drenched in Heavy Rain

Bengaluru saw a very rainy week from 12th to 18th May 2025.

The city received 105 mm of rain in just 24 hours on 18th May, the second-highest in 15 years. HAL station also recorded 78 mm, with over 200 mm rain since 1st May.

Rain was caused by cyclonic circulations near Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, with a trough line close to Bengaluru.

More rain is expected today and tomorrow, especially in the evening.
