Rare Blue Supermoon Tonight

Tonight, India will witness a rare celestial event: the Blue Supermoon, which combines a supermoon and a blue moon.

Send us pictures of the moon!

This "Sturgeon Moon" is the fourth full moon of the season, making it a blue moon, a phenomenon that won’t occur again until 2037.

When to look?

The supermoon is expected be visible on Mon, Aug 19, 2024, at 11:56 PM, and will remain looming large above us until Wednesday.

Adding to its uniqueness, the moon will be about 23,000 km closer to Earth than usual, creating a stunning supermoon effect.

However, visibility might be challenging due to weather conditions, so keep an eye on the skies for this spectacular sight. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
