A weather system known as a "western disturbance" is approaching the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh region today.

It will bring rain and thundershowers to the northern mountains, foothills of Punjab and Haryana, and parts of their plains. Some areas may only see cloudy skies.

This weather pattern will last for about three days, with most of the activity happening on the night of November 9th and into the morning of November 10th. Expect snow in higher regions above 12,000 feet and rain in lower hills.
