Cyclone Fengal delayed: Heavy Rain, Winds to Disrupt Tamil Nadu

A weather system over the Bay of Bengal is bringing heavy rains and strong winds to Tamil Nadu.

Moving north-northwest, the system is nearing Tamil Nadu's coast and could briefly intensify into a mild cyclone by tomorrow morning before weakening again.

The storm will bring intense rainfall and gusty winds to cities like Nagapattinam, Puducherry, and Chennai from tomorrow evening through November 30. Travelers should prepare for disruptions in transportation.

While the system struggles to grow stronger due to fragmented clouds and high wind shear, its approach will still cause significant weather activity.

Rain will persist in Tamil Nadu’s interiors and parts of the South Peninsula until December 2, with clearer skies expected by December 4.
