Cyclone Weakens; Heavy Rain Continues

Cyclone Montha weakens as it moves inland towards Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh

Cyclone Montha has weakened into a depression after moving inland.

The system is now expected to bring heavy rainfall to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar over the next 48 hours.

Widespread thunderstorms with gusty winds may impact several districts, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised caution for farmers and fishermen, urging them to stay indoors and avoid venturing into rough seas.

The weakening system will continue to move northeastwards, gradually losing intensity but maintaining moderate rainfall activity across central and eastern regions.
