Delhi Soaked in Heavy Showers

Delhi experienced heavy monsoon showers overnight, causing severe waterlogging, choked underpasses, and traffic jams across the city.

Safdarjung recorded 77.1mm of rain, while Lodhi Road saw even more at 92.2mm. The rains have paused for now, but the weather is expected to change in the coming days.

Weather in New Delhi

The monsoon trough, responsible for the rain, is shifting, leading to a drop in rainfall over the next few days.

As a result, temperatures are likely to rise, with daytime highs crossing 35°C.

However, the city can expect more significant monsoon showers next week as the trough repositions.
