The heat is linked to a Western Disturbance affecting northern India, which has pushed the seasonal anticyclone away from Rajasthan.

This shift has altered wind patterns over parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat. Mumbai is experiencing prolonged land winds, delaying the sea breeze beyond 2 p.m. As a result, daytime heating is intensifying.
