Cyclone Murasu is expected to make landfall along the southern Andhra Pradesh coast today, most likely between Nellore and Ongole.

The storm could bring damaging wind gusts of 100–110 km/h, along with intense rainfall. Some areas may receive up to 400–500 mm of rain, increasing the risk of severe flooding and waterlogging.

Unlike Cyclone Arnab, Murasu is expected to affect a smaller area, with the strongest winds and heaviest rainfall concentrated over southern Andhra Pradesh.

However, showers and isolated thunderstorms are also expected across Telangana, other parts of southern India and coastal areas extending towards Odisha.

Unsettled weather could continue until Thursday, while widespread cloud cover and rainfall may temporarily bring down temperatures.
