Flood Alert!
Heavy Rains Ravage Tripura

Tripura has been battered by relentless heavy rains, causing severe damage and loss of life.

The state’s complex terrain has worsened the situation, with Agartala recording an alarming 233mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

Rivers like Gomati and Juri have overflowed, threatening surrounding areas.

Agartala Weather

A low-pressure system over Bangladesh is drawing moisture from the Bay of Bengal, fueling these downpours.

Unfortunately, more rain is expected until August 26th. While conditions may improve by the 27th, Tripura remains on high alert as another system could bring additional rains next week. Stay cautious.
