Winter Update
Is Winter Ending Early in Northwest India?

Delhi may welcome summer temperatures early this year

Northwest India is witnessing signs of an early winter exit this year. States like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan have been experiencing prolonged dry weather, with little to no rainfall in February.

Day temperatures are consistently rising above normal, and afternoons are feeling warmer than usual.

The absence of strong Western Disturbances has limited rain and snowfall activity over the hills and adjoining plains.

Clear skies and strong sunshine are contributing to the steady rise in mercury levels. Night temperatures have also started climbing gradually.

With no major cold wave conditions in sight and only weak weather systems expected, winter appears to be fading earlier than usual across parts of Northwest India.
