Kerala is experiencing a big rain shortage this monsoon, with a shortfall of over 45%.

Recently, there hasn't been much rain. Normally, Kerala gets a lot of rain during the monsoon, around 10-11 mm every day.

Luckily, there were a few showers yesterday, and more are predicted for the next days, which Kerala really needs. The southern parts will likely get more rain than the north.

These rains are because of a line of low pressure from South interior Karnataka to Comorin. Also, there's a weak Cyclonic Circulation off the Kerala coast near Lakshadweep.

These factors might not be super strong, but they will bring some rain. We can expect moderate to heavy showers.

Though these rains might not completely make up for the rain shortage, they will at least stop the situation from getting worse.
