Himachal Pradesh has seen a sharp rise in monsoon-related fatalities, with the State Disaster Management Authority reporting 173 deaths between June 20 and July 31.

Of these, 95 resulted from rain‑related events such as landslides and flash floods, while 78 occurred in road accidents.
