Heavy rain is expected in Odisha and Jharkhand from July 25 to 27 as a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal gains strength and moves inland.

This weather system will bring widespread showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds to the region. Districts like Ganjam, Puri, Koraput, Ranchi, and East Singhbhum could see very heavy rainfall, with chances of flash floods, waterlogging, and power cuts.

This rain will help the kharif crop season in many places but may damage crops in flood-prone areas. The monsoon trough has shifted north, and a western disturbance will keep the weather active in eastern India and the Himalayan foothills till the end of July.

States like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may also face heavy rainfall from July 27 to 31 due to the clash of easterly winds and the western disturbance. Travelers are advised to plan carefully, as roads might be blocked due to waterlogging, especially in rural areas.
