Bengaluru is likely to see an increase in rainfall this weekend, particularly between 9 and 11 October, with the highest activity expected on Saturday, 10 October.

October is the city's second rainiest month, but rainfall has remained limited so far. Bengaluru recorded 49 mm of rain in the first week, against a monthly average of 186.4 mm.

Light, isolated showers are expected initially, with most rainfall likely during the late evening and night.

Moist easterly winds are expected to bring more rain and thunderstorms as the Northeast Monsoon approaches.

The monsoon could arrive around 15 October or slightly later, bringing more frequent showers. Meanwhile, days will remain pleasantly warm, with cooler evenings and nights.
