Mumbai Braces for Heavy Rain

Mumbai is experiencing sudden weather changes. From Friday to the weekend, heavy to very heavy rain is expected.

Today, strong winds and thunderstorms may also hit the city.

Two weather systems are causing this: a low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea and another system forming in the Bay of Bengal around May 27.

These will bring heavy rain to Mumbai, Konkan, and other parts of Maharashtra.

South Mumbai will see the first intense rain, followed by areas like Thane and Navi Mumbai. This may be an early sign of the monsoon.

Fishing has been stopped in Goa due to high waves. Travel, flights, and trains may face delays.

People are advised to stay alert and plan their travel carefully.
