Mumbai Monsoon Turns Subdued

Mumbai is likely to see subdued monsoon conditions through the remaining days of August.

The city has received about 286 mm this month until August 19, compared with the August average of 560.9 mm.

Heavy rainfall appears unlikely for the rest of the month. The offshore trough along the Konkan coast remains weak, while winds from the Arabian Sea are not strong enough to trigger intense showers.
