Mumbai’s Winter Ends Warm

January ended on a notably warm note for Mumbai, with Santacruz recording a lowest minimum temperature of 15.9°C on 19 January 2026 the highest such minimum in nearly a decade.

Day temperatures stayed slightly above normal through the month. February has also begun warmer than usual, with maximum temperatures crossing 33°C on the first two days, the highest so far this winter.

February is typically warmer than January in Mumbai, especially in the second half, when temperatures often cross 35°C.

Over the past decade, highs above 38°C have been recorded multiple times. This week, daytime temperatures may reach around 34°C, while nights stay near 20°C. Delayed sea breeze and blocked cold winds will keep conditions warm and humid.
