Attention Farmers!
Rain Threatens Crops in Madhya Pradesh

Prolonged Rain Threatens Crops in Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh is going to witness the longest wet spell of the season and therefore, needs to exercise utmost caution.

A depression over North Chhattisgarh is moving west-northwest and is expected to weaken into a low-pressure area, shifting over Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh by tomorrow.

The system will remain nearly stationary over central and western Madhya Pradesh for 3-4 days, causing heavy to very heavy rainfall, especially from mid-week to the weekend.

Madhya Pradesh, particularly areas like Umaria, Mandla, Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Shivpuri, should prepare for potential flooding and disruption.

Heavy rains are forecast for eastern Madhya Pradesh in the next 48 hours, followed by central and western regions.

This prolonged wet spell could lead to waterlogging, damage standing crops and the quality and quantity of yield, as well as disruptions in surface connectivity.

Residents and local authorities are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions to avoid possible dangers.
