Rainy Days Ahead for Chennai

After nearly a week of dry weather, Chennai is set to witness a fresh spell of rain as a cyclonic circulation develops over the southern Bay of Bengal.

The system is slowly moving westward and is expected to approach Sri Lanka and the Comorin region within 48 hours.

Light showers may begin over Chennai on November 13 and 14, intensifying to moderate rains between November 15 and 17, with brief heavy spells possible.

Rainfall will taper off by November 18. The Northeast Monsoon is expected to remain active, with another system likely to follow soon, keeping southern Tamil Nadu and Kerala under wet conditions.
