Red Alert Continues
Rain Drenches Mumbai and Konkan Region

People are carrying umbrellas while going to their workplace during heavy rain in Mumbai, India, on July 25, 2024.

Mumbai has been inundated with unprecedented rainfall this July, recording 1543.7 mm by July 25, far exceeding the average of 840.7 mm.

The downpour is expected to continue for the next 3-4 days.

The Konkan region and Goa have also been hit hard, with heavy rains due to an offshore trough and cyclonic circulation over Gujarat.

While the rain has caused disruptions, it’s also a boon for water resources, improving reservoir levels and recharging groundwater.

Keep an eye on the radar and take the necessary precautions.
