Rising Heat, Stormy Days Ahead

After a weekend deluge dropped temperatures nearly 9°C below normal, Delhi has seen a 6°C rise over two days, with Safdarjung recording 37.4°C, still 3°C below normal.

A cyclonic circulation over Punjab and Delhi, linked by an east-west trough, may trigger thunderstorm and dust storm activity over the next three days.

With 185.4 mm rainfall already this month, well above the normal 29.4 mm, no major downpours are expected now.

However, strong winds and dust storms may disrupt daily life. While monsoon is still distant, regular pre-monsoon showers are likely, helping control heat levels and keeping heatwave conditions at bay for the next 10 days.
