As almost all corners of Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing severe cold day conditions and dense fog this week, temperatures dropped to single digits and state residents felt the real chill of North Indian winter!

While it is foggy, dull and cold, there is a positive side to the season - the traditional comfort food! It is specially prepared to warm the body and the mind!

  • Matar ka Nimona: This is a spicy curry preparation made of fresh tender winter peas and enjoyed best with hot rotis or rice.
